Ngondo is one of Cameroon's most important traditional festivals. Celebrated the first Sunday of December on the banks of the Wouri river in Douala, it brings together Sawa peoples (Bassa, Beti, Bulu) for aquatic ceremonies, dances and swimming competitions.
