Nguon is the great Bamoun people's festival, held every 2 years at Foumban Royal Palace. It's an opportunity to witness Bamoun royal rituals, traditional dances and exceptional craftsmanship. For visitors, Nguon is a unique window into Bamoun culture. Foumban hotels fill up — book in Bafoussam (40 km) and come by taxi for the day. Bafoussam hotels remain available even during Nguon.
